Emscan Corporation 

Emscan Corporation is recognized as the leader in electromagnetic scanning by design engineers throughout the world. Since 1989, Emscan has provided continuous improvements in scanning speed, frequency range and the visual representation of Electromagnetic Interference (EMI). Its controller technology, software and patented antenna grid measure electromagnetic currents flowing on the surface of printed circuit boards. By providing visual representations of the intensity of these currents, Emscan's products allow design engineers to determine EMI problem areas and take remedial action before compliance testing. Ultimately this saves time and money by reducing visits to compliance facilities, providing immediate feedback of design refinements, and assisting designers in getting products to market faster.

Quadrus was engaged by Emscan to develop a next-generation Windows-based version of their existing software product. Having this software available in a Windows-based system would allow Emscan to reach a new customer base and add additional product features and enhancements going forward. The software's purpose was to gather data from the scan controller and present this data in a user-friendly format. Quadrus was successful in creating a robust Windows-based version with a rich graphical user interface. New Emscan customers accustomed to working in a Windows-based environment would find this software comfortable and easy-to-use.
