A means to an end
For many of our clients, technology is the means to achieving a business objective. New technologies and processes are adopted because they deliver better results, not because they are cool or trendy. The key, of course, is knowing which technologies and processes will deliver the greatest long term benefits and adopting them into a client’s particular environment in the most beneficial manner.
On the bleeding edge - so you don't have to be
Quadrus invests significant time and resources to stay at the forefront of IT so we can help our clients navigate this minefield. We participate in partner programs, beta programs and standards committees. By the time new technology hits the market it is not new to us. When you are ready to make a change we typically already have significant experience and can quickly assist with adoption while avoiding the often yet-to-be-documented pitfalls.
As a Microsoft Gold Partner – and as partners with Sun, Oracle and IBM – we participate in trials of new products before full release to the public. We have assisted in the development of new technologies with our partners; Quadrus has for many years served on one or more of Microsoft’s Partner Advisory Councils, for example. We are active in the process and standards arena, contributing to the Project Management Institute’s (PMI) “Project Management Body Of Knowledge” (PMBOK) Guidebook, the standard for many organizations project management methods and PMO guidelines, and teaching “PMI SeminarsWorld” training courses on behalf of the PMI. We also have members on the board of directors for the
Agile Alliance and the
Agile Project Leadership Network (APLN).
The stickiest challenges in adopting new technologies
and processes often involve people-related issues and organizational resistance. We have the experience to help shepherd such change initiatives and work with organizations to design introduction frameworks that tackle the HR elements alongside the technology or process elements. By engaging stakeholders in the diagnosis, selection, introduction, and trial of new technology and processes we experience extremely high acceptance rates and great client feedback.
