Learning Objectives & Approach:
This half day course introduces the concepts, terms and techniques for determining requirements for software development. Learn the different types of requirements, their purposes and approaches for capturing them. Identify the value that Business Analysts bring to a project and the groups that depend on them. The quality of software requirements is commonly listed in the top three of reasons for success on a project. Mature software organizations are quickly learning that in order to improve the success of their projects, they need to invest in the discipline applied to gathering software requirements. This course prepares you to begin or refresh your understanding of Requirements and Business Analysis and better define what your project team needs to build.
This course is intended to be accompanied by on-site coaching and mentoring. When your team is ready to start their project, Quadrus can provide an expert in Requirements and Business Analysis for 1 to 5 days, depending upon the size of the project, to ensure the techniques learned are being properly applied and the project is beginning on the right footing.
