CALGARY, Alta., July 12, 2002 – Calgary-based IT professional services and solutions provider Quadrus Development Inc., has been selected by Microsoft Corporation as the winner of the worldwide Business Intelligence (BI) Solution of the Year award. The award was presented to Quadrus at the annual Microsoft Certified Partner Awards today in Los Angeles, CA.

Quadrus was selected from hundreds of Microsoft partner entries from allover the world representing regions such as North America, Europe and Asia. Microsoft selected Quadrus because of its innovative use of Microsoft's latest technologies that offer clear benefits to customers.

"It was an honor for us to receive so many amazing business applications of our products," said Allison Watson, Vice President of Partner Sales and Marketing Group at Microsoft, "but Quadrus clearly stood out among the many high-quality nominations we received."

Quadrus' client for this award-winning project was ENMAX Energy Corporation, a marketer and retailer of electricity in Western Canada. Quadrus' mission was to develop a Business Intelligence solution to allow ENMAX's Finance Division to better reconcile data in the settlement process. Together with ENMAX, Quadrus built and implemented a robust, scalable BI solution using Microsoft's SQL Server Accelerator for Business Intelligence.
