WHO WE ARENews & Events QUADRUS MEMBER PRESENTS AT CIPS CALGARY LUNCHEON MARCH 2, 2005 - "IT TRENDS: THE AGILE SHIFT"About the Presentation:
Over
the past few years there has been an emerging shift in IT project
management processes and practices, from the traditional defined
approach towards iterative and adaptive methodologies. Many
organizations are now looking at agile approaches, drawn by the claims
of improved productivity, higher quality, better ROI and greater
customer satisfaction. However, many of the techniques advocated in
agile methods appear contrary to the traditional "plan-based" project
management best practices. This presentation will review the
foundation and historical application of traditional approaches and
then highlight the emergence of iterative and adaptive approaches. It
will summarize the leading development lifecycles, showcasing how agile
techniques can be used effectively alongside traditional management
approaches to tackle the challenges of software projects. About the Presenter:
