Practices and Tooling for High-Performance Scrum Development Teams
This course is intended for all members of a Scrum Development Team; architects, programmers, database developers, testers, and others with some technical knowledge.
Participants have a basic understanding of Scrum, have read the Scrum Guide, and are using Visual Studio 2015 Enterprise edition (or a shared instance of Team Foundation Server).
Through a mix of lectures, demonstrations, group discussions and hands-on software development, students collaborate as a team in a series of sprints to apply modern engineering practices and use the Scrum framework to cope with changes. There is a key focus on having students learn how to develop increments of potentially releasable functionality from a realistic Product Backlog.
Upon completion, attendees have gained extensive exposure to key subject areas and know how to apply Agile practices and tools to optimize a team’s capability to create high-quality software.
All participants completing the course will receive a password to attempt the Professional Scrum Developer (PSD) assessment. Successful writers receive industry-recognized PSD certification, use of the PSD logo, and will have their name listed publicly on Scrum.org.
