TR – Scrum – Scaled Professional Scrum Workshop

The real-life, interactive instruction made this an excellent learning experience. We’re still on our journey, but this class equipped us to implement the Nexus framework across five Scrum Teams in just a few months.

Prerequisites:

  • An understanding of Scrum as described in the Scrum Guide
  • An understanding of the tools, practices, and common pitfalls of large-scale software development
  • Have read the current Nexus Guide
  • *Optional*: Have taken the (free) Nexus Open Assessment

Learning Objectives & Approach:

This workshop is delivered using an end-to-end case study where students work together to organize and simulate a scaled software development project to learn the infrastructure, tools, and practices needed for success. Participants will experience first-hand the challenges that can occur in large-scale development initiatives, and learn solutions to get the work back on track.

Upon completion, students will leave knowing how to successfully scale Scrum to maximize the value of their software development initiative.

Certification Process:

All participants who complete this course receive a password to attempt the Scaled Professional Scrum (SPS) assessment. Successful writers receive the industry-recognized SPS certification, use of the SPS logo, and will have their name listed publicly on Scrum.org.
